In business for nearly twenty years, tavern owner Rob Mohelski has created a laid back yet fun atmosphere that centers around good times, great food, and some of the area's best entertainment and musicians. Rob's Mahtowa Tavern features karaoke every other week, bingo every Saturday evening, and a good mix of homegrown musicians who will not disappoint. Rob's showcase event happens in early August and it attracts the most creative and talented folk musicians in the region. Called the Highway 61 Folk Fest it has gained traction over its ten years of existance and is one of the most celebrated events in the northland.
